WHATS UP?
If you're on this site, then you're probably sitting at home looking at your phone or computer thinking, "Dang, I wish there was some cool stuff to do in Kentucky."
Guess this site is for you then. I made this site because I want to let people know about some of the dope spots to explore in the Cinci area.
Hopefully, through this site, you can learn about some new spots to go to with your friends as well as let others know about cool places you've been.
Keep in mind this site is a (WIP) work in progress. There are more spots out there for sure, I just haven't mapped them yet.
On Adventure Mid West you can view local spots to explore. Most spots include directions and pictures (WIP). You'll be able to ask questions about locations as well as send in photos to be featured in the site album. Please ask questions and let me know about new spots you know about. I'd love to check them out and add them to the site.
Have fun out there!

THE COVE
Great for swimming!
The Fort Mitchell Cove is a great casual place for exploring and swimming. This is an awesome spot for hiking around in the quietness of the woods. Multiple small trails that run along the creek eventually leading to the Ohio river facing Cincinati. There is a cliff jump with a rope above the northeast bend in the creek outside of the tunnel. Overall awesome spot for chilling out with friends on a slow day.
LUDLOW INCINERATOR
Directly off of Sleepy Hollow road in Ludlow Kentucky lies the Old brick incinerator building along with its 50 foot brick smoke stack. The incinerator is definitely the place to have scary stories attached to it. This structure makes a great stop while biking on the Devou Park trails as well as an awesome place for pictures.

WALMART FLOOD TUNNEL
One of the first places I found in this area. The Walmart storm tunnel is a cool place to explore especially at night. The tunnel leads under the Walmart parking lot and ends off of Vandercar Way near Homewood Suites. Grabbing some road flares at Walmart makes this an exciting walk.

JILLIAN'SÂ BREW WORKS
As one of the largest 19th Century buildings still standing in The Newport area, Jillian's sits overlooking the i75 freeway into Ohio. Now valued at just over 3.5 million dollars this structure stands abandoned in the middle of the city. It's an easy spot to get to but hard to get inside. Most first floor doors and windows are barred making entering difficult.

OAK STREETÂ TRAIN TUNNEL
Not much to say about the Oak Street tunnel except for the fact that you'd miss it if you weren't looking for it. This tunnel is well hidden between a steep forested hill and a construction site. With remnants of rail road ties stuck in the mud and eroding stone on the walls, this aged tunnel definitely makes an interesting walk.

CINCINNATI SUBWAY
Definitely a spooky site to explore. The Cincinnati Subway was built in the late 1920s as a failed attempt to control traffic in the area. This abandoned 3 station tunnel sits off of the freeway near the Western Hills Viaduct. Running deep under Walnut Street the subway portal makes a very creepy place to explore.
